Paxil

Paxil, an antidepressant, may be linked to birth defects in fetuses whose mothers are taking the medication during pregnancy.  There are now more than 600 cases alleging that the makers of Paxil, Glaxo, knew that this drug caused birth defects but continued to market it anyway.  The drug was approved in 1992 and generated more than $942 million in sales in 2008.  To read the recent article published on this topic, visit www.bloomberg.com
