A recent occurance at Denver's Rose Medical Center has put thousands at risk to being exposed to Hepatitis C. A surgery technician, accused of swapping out syringes filled with the powerful pain medication, Fentanyl, and replacing them with used syringes filled with saline has tested positive for Hepatitis C.
Those at risk include patients who had surgery at either Rose Medical Center during October, 2008 to April, 2009 or at the Audubon Ambulatory Surgical Center from May 4 to July 1, 2009. Ten patients have already tested positive for the disease and authorities are investigating whether their cases link to Parker.
If you feel that you may have come into contact with a dirty needle as a result of Parker's conduct and may have contracted Hepatitis C, make sure to get a blood test right away.
