She graduated from St. Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing in 1964 and obtained a B.S. in nursing from Loretto Heights College in Denver in 1975 and a M.S. in nursing from the University of Colorado in 1976. These cases include birth injury, improper use of patient controlled analgesia pumps, delayed diagnosis of infections and other surgical complications, negligently performed surgery and other medical procedures, delayed diagnosis of a patient's medical condition, delayed diagnosis of cancer, and wrongful death of patients due to medical negligence.

Susan also represents other personal injury victims who have been hurt as a result of automobile or motor vehicle accidents, premises negligence and victims of defective medical products.

Susan is a member of the Colorado, Denver, Arapahoe County and Women's Bar Associations, as well as the American Association for Justice and the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association. She is a past member of the Board of Directors of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association and Litigation Council of the Colorado Bar Association.
