Stephen Wahlberg on KUSA Channel 9 News, Channel 4 News

Stephen Wahlberg was interviewed by the local media and appeared on KUSA Channel 9 News in February 2007 as he was leaving court. Mr. Wahlberg represents Molly Bloom who was seriously injured during her High School Senior Prom when the limousine driver began driving as she was attempting to enter the Limo. Stephen Wahlberg was also quoted extensively in The Denver Post and The Rocky Mountain News.

Stephen Wahlberg and other members of the Board of Directors of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association spoke on February 28, 2007 at the University of Denver College of Law. Stephen Wahlberg addressed law students regarding trial tactics and classical methods of persuasion.

Stephen Wahlberg Named Co-Chair of Colorado Trial Lawyers Association Auto Litigation Committee.

Mr. Wahlberg has been asked by the President of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association to serve as the Chair of the Colorado Auto Litigation Committee for the second consecutive year. Mr. Wahlberg chairs a monthly meeting with other CTLA Board members to provide trial tactics, strategies and recent case information to other lawyers.

Stephen Wahlberg asked to Serve as Chairman and Featured Speaker at the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association Convention in Steamboat Springs, Colorado in August 2007.

Mr. Wahlberg has been asked for the second consecutive year to be the featured speaker at the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association Convention in 2007. In 2006 Mr. Wahlberg chaired the highly successful seminar entitled “How to Present and Argue Damages.” In 2007, Mr. Wahlberg has been asked to chair the seminar, “Keys to Settling Your Case Successfully.”

Stephen Wahlberg Elected Vice President of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA –Colorado Chapter)

The American Board of Trial Advocates is a group of Plaintiff and Defense Lawyers (as well as Judges) with very strict guidelines for membership. In order to be accepted into ABOTA, a trial lawyer must have 20 civil jury trials and be nominated by an existing member. A candidate must receive a 75% approval rating by the existing members and Mr. Wahlberg has been a member since 2002. There are currently 37,000 lawyers licensed in the State of Colorado but only 68 members of the Colorado Bar have been accepted into ABOTA.

Mr. Wahlberg attended the ABOTA Leadership Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada in February 2007. Mr. Wahlberg will become President of the Colorado Chapter of ABOTA in January 2008. The goals of ABOTA are to honor achievement, promote civility, share strategies and provide a strong and clear voice in support of the Seventh Amendment – the right for American citizens to have a jury trial in civil disputes.

Air Ambulance Crash Successfully Settled

Stephen Wahlberg served as counsel on the air ambulance case involving paramedics departing Steamboat Springs, Colorado to provide medical assistance to a patient in Rawlings, Wyoming. The air ambulance crashed near Rawlings, Wyoming, and Mr. Wahlberg represented one of the families who lost a loved one in the crash. The case was successfully settled pursuant to a Confidentially Agreement.
