In 2009, the firm will be Bronze Sponsors of the Brain Injury Association of Colorado. Hillyard, Wahlberg, Kudla & Sloane, LLP has supported and donated to BIAC for several years and recognizes the importance of the organization in helping brain injury victims move forward with their lives.

Partner Dan Sloane is the immediate past president of the Brain Injury Association of Colorado. He has served on the Board of Directors for a number of years and is very actively involved with this organization. Additionally, Dan Sloane volunteers at the Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center to work with people with brain injuries. This organization focuses on running a summer camp for people with disabilities and also camps for at-risk youth from around the country.

Dan has been an invited speaker to the brain injury support group at Spalding Rehabilitation Center in Denver, for the Kaiser Permanente brain injury group in Longmont, and the Denver brain injury group.
