David S. Woodruff is an experienced Colorado trial lawyer, specializing in medical negligence and complex personal injury cases. David S. Woodruff was raised in New Mexico and attended college at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. He earned his Masters degree from the University of Southern California and his law degree from the top-ranked University of Texas School of Law. While in law school, Mr. Woodruff was a Presidential Scholar and mock trial champion. He was chosen to represent the University of Texas in moot court and mock trial competitions across the nation, and was nationally recognized for his skill in trial and appellate advocacy. He is a former Assistant Attorney General of Texas, and spent a number of years with a large multinational law firm and a mid-sized Colorado insurance defense firm, where he represented numerous physicians, hospitals, nurses, and nursing homes in healthcare-related claims. He has tried more than twenty civil cases in state and federal courts throughout Colorado and Texas, and has handled appeals in Colorado and Texas courts of appeals as well as the federal Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
