Dan has been practicing civil trial law since 1997. He practices in several areas of civil litigation. Since beginning his trial practice Dan has focused on representing individuals injured in automobile and motorcycle accidents and victims of medical malpractice. Dan also represents people who have been victims of securities fraud and represents small to medium size businesses in litigation matters ranging from breach of contract to corporate dissolutions. During his career, Dan has won many six and seven figure cases for his personal injury and medical malpractice clients. He has never represented an insurance company in an injury claim against an individual. Dan is a third generation Denver native. He was born in Denver, Colorado on March 21, 1963 and has lived in Colorado his entire life. Dan graduated from Cherry Creek High School and Metropolitan State College, with honors. He is a graduate of the University of Denver, College of Law. Dan has handled cases for victims of personal injuries ranging from soft tissue injuries to catastrophic brain and spinal cord injuries. He has represented adults and children who have been injured by doctors and other medical providers. Many of Dan’s clients have suffered, permanent injuries resulting from medical malpractice by doctors, midwives and nurses. These include birth injuries, unnecessary surgeries, delayed or misdiagnosed cancer patients, nerve injuries, neurological injuries and vestibular system injuries. Many of his clients have also been permanently injured in automobile and motorcycle accidents with injuries ranging from quadriplegia and sever brain injuries to soft tissue, broken bones, and mild traumatic brain injuries. In his commercial litigation practice, Dan has successfully represented the largest off-site airport parking lot in the world. He also represents several home building and land development companies and many businesses in their litigation needs. Dan is a board member and past-president of the Brain Injury Association of Colorado. He belongs to the Denver, Arapahoe County and Colorado Bar Associations, the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association and American Association for Justice. He was a Trustee on the Board of Temple Sinai from 1995 to 2000. Dan has written and spoken throughout the State of Colorado on legal issues ranging from pediatric brain injury to new perspectives on medical malpractice to business torts. Some of his lectures and publications include: “Litigation of Pediatric Brain Injury Cases,” Brain Injury Association of Colorado Conference, Vail, Colorado, 2005; “A Novel Approach to Handling Medical Malpractice Claims,” American College of Surgeons, Denver, Colorado, September 2005; “Legal and Financial Issues Surrounding Brain Injuries,” Spalding Rehabilitation Hospital, November 2006 Denver, Colorado. He is a co-author of the Colorado Chapter of Business Torts, A Fifty-State Guide, 2007 Edition (Aspen Publishers). Dan is most proud that he and his wife Sharon have been married 14 years and have two wonderful daughters, Samantha and Dayna. Dan coached both girls’ soccer teams for eight years and Samantha’s Destination Imagination team for three years, where they won third place in the state.
